Under Construction

Jeebus was lazy when it came to his BLOG. He never updated it, and they were half assed posts when he did. The good thing though, is he (with his good pal Sergio) was busy creating a world wide web phenomenon. After a bit of restructuring, welcome to the new home of:

Padron 1926 80th Anniversary

Appearance: Dude, this was one pretty looking stogie, awesome wrapper that was BEGGING to be burnt. Construction was top quality as you'd come to expect from pretty much any Padron....a true gem.

Pre-light/Burn:
The Pre-light draws that I took revealed a very nice sweet/earthy flavor, and a good amount of the classic Padron flavor that has set the Anniversary line apart from any other cigar. The burn wasn't a problem, since this one was a perfecto I thought there would be some burn problems but that wasn't the case :)

Flavors: The first 2 or 3 puffs that I took, somewhat let me down. Hardly any flavor but then I thought to myself "Dumbass!!, Aren't perfectos like this in the beginning !?!" So I waited until the tapered end was pretty much all burnt.....then the fun began :D. Right off the bat, there was a generous amount of sweet/choco flavors and this cigar surprised me with it's incredible smoothness...to say the least I was in heaven...and only about an inch into the cigar :D

Sergio turned towards me and asked..."How is it??"

I answered "Dude, the smoothness in this stogie is amazing, great Pardon flavor...I'm nubbing this bitch!!!"

he answered "........ dick" :)

Needless to say, I nubbed that fucker!!!...The flavor on this bad boy was one of a kind, didn't change much in terms of flavor; it had the wonderful choco/sweet Anniversary flavor all the way through out! What more can you ask for in a perfect cigar.

A MILLION THANKS TO DARYN, WHOM WITHOUT HIM....THIS CIGAR WOULD STILL BE HAUNTING MY DREAMS! Thanks Buddy!

CAO The Sopranos Associate

Size: 5 x 52 Robusto

Appearance: This cigar looks good enough to eat, a nice dark/oily wrapper . It has two bands that are pretty cool looking and the cigar had no serious blemishes or major veins to report about.

Pre-Light: Before lighting this cigar, I took some draws from it and I got some light flavors of wood and leather. Cutting this cigar wasn't too bad and lighting it was hard either.

Burn/Draw: The burn started great, nothing bad EVER happened with the burn on this cigar. The draw was pretty normal, it was too loose or too tight, it was just right. The smoke that was a result of the draw wasn't abundant, but just enough to let me get the flavors.

Flavors: The first buff on this cigar was a real treat, it was loaded flavors of leather/earth goodness with some hints of wood. This happened for the first inch of the cigar then the flavors somewhat died off. Then the cigar went into a period of just being okay, nothing too special almost bland. But once I got to about an inch and a half left, the cigar got more and more flavor full....hmmm, weird.

YEESH!!

I've been a real slacker when it comes to my blog... :)

That's gonna change, a new cigar review in about a couple of hours.

Camacho Triple Maduro

Size: 6 x 54

Appearance: This cigar is one dark and tasty treat. The wrapper is so dark and it has absolutely no visible damage on it, although it was a bit rough..nothing too serious like veins and peeling.

Pre-Light: Clipping this cigar was very easy, thank god for the torpedo tip. Some of the pre-light draws that I took revealed some nice dark and rich earthy notes with some spicy goodness to it. I couldn't wait to light this bad boy up.

Burn/Draw: All the way through out this cigar, the draw was never in question. It was never too loose or too tight, just right. When I first started to light this cigar, I noticed that it wasn't lighting!!! It took me at least 7 mins to get a good light on it (major point deduction). The burn wasn't something to be proud to be about, but nothing too damaging to the experience of the cigar,

Flavors: Right off the bat this cigar seemed to be loaded with some earthy richness with a little hint of spice. This was continuous for the first 4 or 5 puffs of this stogie, then it took a turn that kind of surprised me. The cigar completely changed, all of the heavy earth flavors somewhat left completely. Untill later in the cigar the earth flavor returned and the spice notes increased but I couldn't hep but feel this cigar was alittle rushed while being made, it is still very young and it will only get better with age. I would love try again with some age on it.

Recommended but somewhat of a disappointment for me.

YAY!!!!

For the first time in my life I can say, I HAVE A JOB!! I work at an amusement park that takes me 25 mins to get there by public transportation. I will be working in a store that is located in the amusement park and as long as I work for them I will never have to pay to go into the park!! It's not full-time, hell it's not even part-time but it's a job nonetheless. I have all ready met a bunch of people and have made new friends so I hope work can be enjoyable.

La Plata Magnifico 10 year aged

Alittle info on this stogie and the line "La Plata" before my actual review, La Plata is the house blend that is at the B&M that me and Serg spend some of our Fridays. The cigar is called Magnifico and it's last production was back in 1997, 10 years ago, so one Friday I decided to smoke this cigar (which is only available in Corona size) and I was amazed with it. This was my third time around with this one cigar.
Size: 5 1/2 x 42 Corona

Wrapper: Nicaraguan
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan

Appearance: Pretty tasty looking wrapper, Dark Natural covered a bit in "plume". The wrapper was a bit rough but nothing too serious that will dock major points. The band is simply, nothing too extravagant.

Pre-light: Clipping was simple but I did have to be careful since it was a small ring gauge, I didn't want to cut it wrong. The pre-light draw seemed alittle tight but it let up while smoking and the pre-light flavors reveled some nice leathery and earthy notes.
Burn/Draw: The burn was spot on all through out this cigar, nice and sharp, practically perfect. The draw, tight at first, eased a bit and was pretty damn good; it unleashed nice clouds of smoke that lingered for some time when I blew the smoke out. The aroma had a spiciness to it, AWESOME.

Flavors: Right off the bat, the first puff seemed to have a perfect combination of heavy earth and leather notes with alittle spicy hint to it. This went on for the most part 2 inches into the cigar, after that the spicy hints became more and more combined with the with earthy/leather notes. And toward the end of the cigar (around 2 inches left), the spice took over alittle bit and the earth/leather gave way to it, kinda sad to have it fade in the end, maybe it's because of the time it's been aged. Overall this is one great stogie that I will most likely smoke again and again.

Well Tom, The Blues didn't fare any better in there opener. They TIED 1-1 and there head coach announced that he is stepping down. This isn't what the blues need.

F****

I hate being sick!!!! I want to have a nice stogie but if i smoke one, I won't even know what it tastes like (damn flu). I have most of my tasting ability still but I don't want to waste a cigar, especially a Montecristo #2.

:)
