La Vieja Habana

I was actually looking forward to this cigar, having never tried anything from Drew Estate i was really curious. The appearence was a good one, it looked very nice and and clipping was extremely easy. The draw was never an issue, but the taste was!!! It wasn't very good and lacked real flavors. I ONLY smoked about an inch and a half before i decided to toss it.

I once smoked a cigar. I inhaled it and I don't think you're supposed to. It wasn't pleasant and it did indeed taste of ass. Not that I know what ass tastes of ^_^

yeah, inhaling is bad. causes you to turn green and stuff. puffing is good.

But what is the reason for puffing? What are you getting out of it? Is it addictive like cigarettes? Or is it just to be manly?

I felt like a man when I tried it, and I certainly didn't like that atall!

It is not as habit forming as cigarettes, I have gone weeks at a time without a stogie, and I have had cigars several nights in a row on occasions, never craving one in either situation. You puff the cigar because the main purpose of cigar smoking is flavor appreciation. You could liken it to savoring a fine wine or whiskey. Letting the smoke roll around in your mouth, with time you can sometimes pick out flavor notes, again much like fine wine or whiskey.

In the interest of full disclosure, you will absorb some nicotine through the tongue, but through friends experiences related to me, not enough to appease a cigarette smokers craving.

Also, by contrast, I think a lovely lady smoking a cigar is not manly at all, and can in fact be quite alluring.

oh! Well hey if it's like fine wine or whisky I can learn to appreciate that!

How very encouraging... =o)

Well, should you ever attempt to smoke a cigar again:

make sure its long filler and hand made. Mixed filler and machine made cigars have a lot of the same additives as cigarettes. Long Filler handmades are generally tobacco only.

Try to find something mild to start with as not to be overwhelmed.

and comment your experience here or on my blog : http://colbypantssmokinglounge.blogspot.com/ because we would love to hear how it went.
